Michael Ferranti is a trained Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) practitioner who has been tattooing scalps for many years. The secret is that he tattoos hair where it’s needed. The process can fill in bald and thinning patches, or cover an entire scalp.
Scalp Micropigmentation uses micro-fine needles to create thousands of tiny hair follicle impressions on the scalp, giving the appearance of a full head of hair. It’s a low-maintenance, cost effective and non-surgical approach to a hair transplant. It’s also used by people who have had a hair transplant already, but want their scalp to look fuller.
Cost can vary by the size of the scalp, the amount of coverage needed, and the number of treatments needed.
Ferranti has experience treating male pattern baldness, women’s hair loss, thinning hair, Alopecia, scalp scars, thinning eyebrows, beards and mustaches.
Ferranti has a 25-year history as a Physician Assistant in dermatology and plastic surgery. He discovered SMP a few years ago, had it done himself and says it made him feel younger and more confident. After experiencing the effects first-hand, he took classes and is now joining the prestigious Skin Design Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
