“We’re all stories in the end.”

That’s the infamous quote from the popular television show, “Doctor Who?”

So now that I’ve dated myself, I will say that the quote is a proverbial truth of life. Life isn’t about money, cars, clothes, or material goods, life’s about stories. It’s the moments we create which make the stories we share, and in the end, that is how our name and our legacy lives on. Some stories will be good, others will be bad, but all of them teach us to appreciate what we’ve endured. The struggle is what makes success so good and without the bad, we would never enjoy the good.

Just like there’s heaven and hell, good or bad, it is necessary to have negative and opposing forces to truly understand the greater good and it’s what creates balance in the world. Think about it….What is positive without negative?

Long story short, open your eyes to what you have now and share your stories. Much like tattoos, each and every one of them has a story. Some are stories of tragedy, others are simply about drunken mistakes, but it’s up to us to seek the real meaning.

This tattoo here done by Fernie Andrade is one that carries a lot of weight and family lineage. Done on a customer that flies in from NYC, the tattoo is a historical timeline of his family roots. Though it’s still a work in progress, we’ll chronicle this magical tattoo journey and share the story of how it came to be. It’s an insightful piece that’ll open your eyes to stories shared and stories which are forever memorialized in ink.
