CHRISTINA CHOI

Se Yeon “Christina” Choi started drawing from a young age and was motivated by her passion for art. Over time, this grew into a burning interest for tattooing. Her life motto is that everything happens for a reason and that many seemingly negative things turned out to lead her to where she is now – “I wouldn’t have it any other way!” is what she always says about her journey.

Christina began her apprenticeship at Chopstick Tattoo Hawai’i as soon as she graduated from high school in 2018 and started her professional tattooing journey in 2019. Her main focus is anything black and gray, whether it be realism, surrealism, neotraditional, illustrative, line work, anime – you name it! She loves to remain versatile in style to show off her ever-growing talent and experience. She sometimes dabbles in color for a dramatic effect  to make her black and gray tattoos POP.

“My passion and direction for tattooing has grown stronger as I started anew at Skin Design Tattoos Honolulu. Loving black and gray, I wanted nothing more than to be a part of the SDT team and be able to grow under the legend Robert Pho. Being here pushed and motivated me to do better by my Hawai’i team. I cant wait to see what lies ahead for me and the future of this new family I’m honored and happy to be a part of!”
