Christina Choi discovered her passion for art at a young age, and her journey as an artist eventually led her to the world of tattooing. Guided by the belief that “everything happens for a reason,” Christina has embraced every challenge along the way as an essential part of her growth. “I wouldn’t have it any other way!” She reflects.

In late 2018, Christina began a traditional apprenticeship at a private studio in Honolulu and officially launched her tattoo career in 2019. Within only a year, she joined Skin Design Tattoo and quickly rose to prominence in the tattoo community. Christina has earned numerous first-place trophies at some of the world’s most prestigious tattoo conventions, competing among the industry’s top artists, highlighting her extraordinary talent and dedication.

Specializations and Inspirations

Christina specializes in black and grey realism, devoting herself to perfecting this intricate and complex style. Her work is renowned for its impeccable detail and artistic depth. She has never stopped pushing her creative boundaries and continues to grow in an exceptionally challenging art form. While black and grey realism remains her primary focus, Christina’s versatility shines through in her ability to create stunning tattoos in other styles such as surrealism, illustrative, Asian, and anime. She occasionally incorporates color at clients’ requests, adding accents that make her tattoos truly stand out.

While she enjoys working with a huge variety of subjects, female faces remain a favorite. It is a theme that allows her to blend her technical skills with storytelling, creating tattoos that resonate with her clients and their own personal meanings and aesthetics.
