Eric Jimenez: Resilient, Passionate, and Versatile

Originally from Zacatecas, Mexico, Eric Jimenez moved to the USA at the age of 3, growing up in Pomona, California, and occasionally in Los Angeles. Inspired by the murals, graffiti, and gangster-style lettering that surrounded him, Eric began his journey in art by following in the footsteps of his brothers. His love for tattoos began at the young age of 5, as he witnessed family and friends getting tattooed in the garage where he grew up. After being let go from a job he had for 12 years, Eric pursued his passion and began tattooing full-time 6 years ago, which he describes as a blessing.

Eric specializes in black and grey work and lettering but has been expanding his skills into color tattoos over the past two years. He enjoys challenging himself and continuously pushing the boundaries of his artistry.

His work has earned him notable recognition, including designing 100 pairs of custom shoes for the Raiders organization for two consecutive years (2023-2024). Additionally, Eric’s personal artwork has been displayed in various galleries throughout California and Las Vegas.

In addition to his tattoo career, Eric has worked hard on his personal growth and self-discipline since getting sober from alcohol 6 years ago. He now dedicates time to reading, exercising daily, and exploring the outdoors through hiking and biking. He also works in other art mediums, including painting custom shoes, airbrush, acrylic painting, pencil drawings, photography, and even metal engraving, which he began learning last year.

Eric’s career highlights include tattooing at his first tattoo convention, working with his first professional athlete, and consistently improving his tattoos and artwork. He believes in getting 1% better every day in life and art, with the goal of inspiring others along the way, even if it’s just one person.
